Chesapeake Region Accessible Boating (CRAB) is dedicated to making the thrill of sailing a reality for physically and developmentally disabled individuals.
Sailing operations are based at Sandy Point State Park. CRAB's office is located at 177 Defense Highway, Suite 9, Annapolis, MD 21401.
CRAB relies on it's volunteers as skippers, crew, shore-side assistance and special events staff.

CRAB is currently accepting applications for a 12-week paid summer internship.
CRAB is seeking a summer intern for a wide variety of programmatic and administrative task including: office tasks, marketing and outreach, sailing instruction and skippering, and maintenance task. The internship starting and ending dates are flexible to accommodate the typical academic calendar. We are expecting an inter to work approximately 12 weeks, full-time, between June and August. Candidate must be at least 18 years old.
Applicant should be IT savvy, mature, and have empathy for working with our guests. Not necessary to be an experienced sailor, but must be interested in adaptive sports and/or services for disabled individuals, and should be highly motivated and engaged.
Office Skills – particularly Microsoft Suite – Excel, Word, Publisher, etc.
Red Cross lifesaving certification
ASA basic keelboat sailing certification
Excellent small boat handling skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Strong work ethic
Physically and mentally fit
Experience working with persons with disabilities
Easy going and a sense of humor
