
Chesapeake Region Accessible Boating (CRAB) is seeking an experienced professional who will be responsible for the management and scheduling of volunteers, booking nonprofit organizations, and families for sailing, boating, and wellness programs during the year. We are looking for someone who is an excellent communicator orally and in writing. The software programs and apps used in this position are Network for Good, Causer (App), Galaxy Digital (website), Dropbox, Excel, and Microsoft Word. A successful career in managing programs or working with the disabled community and/or children from underserved communities is desirable. Work or recreational experience boating on Chesapeake Bay is very helpful in this position. Knowledge of boating and/or sailing safety and operations is expected. The Manager will support the CRAB Fleet Directors who are responsible for safety and operations on the dock and water. Coordination of boat maintenance on CRAB’s fleet of boats will require physical agility and strength. CPR/AED/First Aid certification required in addition to a background check. This position will work with the professional staff at CRAB and will report directly to the President & CEO. Other duties will include event management, scheduling the part-time, seasonal Fleet Directors, and coordinating over 150 volunteer skippers and crew to facilitate a six-month sailing program and year-round wellness programs.
CRAB’s office is located in the beautiful Annapolis Adaptive Boating Center on Bembe Beach Road. This is an in-office position that will require working on some weekends during the sailing season.
