
CRAB is looking for an intern for the 2025 summer! If you are a college student looking to learn invaluable skills, facilitate an inclusive environment, positively change lives, and have fun on the water, then CRAB might be the place for you!
Qualifications
• Internship Requirements: You must be a full-time college student who maintains a 3.0 GPA or higher, has completed the equivalent of two semesters of college coursework, and is willing to commit 30-40 hours a week during the summer
• Qualifications: Passion for learning and serving our guests with disabilities who want to learn to sail or boat on Chesapeake Bay
• Independent Worker with some guidance, indoor and outdoor work required
• Ability to lift 30 lbs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Solid understanding of digital marketing best practices
• Ability to collaborate with a team of professionals
• Open and willing to receive constructive feedback
Responsibilities
• Interns will be able to improve their skills in teamwork, collaboration, time management, research, strategic planning, leadership, critical thinking, interpersonal communication, information processing, and decision-making/problem-solving
• Support operations, volunteer and guest scheduling, sailing and boating programs
• Write copy for social media posts, promotional emails, and other marketing products.
• Potential for graphic design assistance
• Participate in weekly staff meetings
• Assist in the management of the CRAB Cup – CRAB’s largest fundraiser of the year.
• Store, organize, and manage files in a cloud file-sharing service
• Write, edit, and proofread documents and promotional materials
