Spring Recovering Warrior Regatta – Saturday, May 16

  • Open to individuals who are recovering warriors or disabled veterans
  • Racing experience not required but helpful
  • Launch from Adaptive Boating Center in CRAB Beneteau 22As
  • Also seeking: CRAB Volunteer Skipper & Crew with racing experience 

Don Backe Memorial Regatta – Saturday, June 6

  • Open to disabled sailors, must be able to use transfer slide to board (hoyer lift not available)
  • The Race follows The Racing Rules of Sailing (SRS) 
  • Race CRAB Beneteau 22As on Spa Creek, launching from Annapolis Yacht Club Sailing Center
  • Also seeking: CRAB Volunteer Slipper & Crew with racing experience

Special Olympics Regatta – Saturday, July 11

  • Open to sailing athletes with an intellectual disability, a cognitive delay or closely related developmental disability
  • Several class of boat offered, including the CRAB Beneteau 22As, AYC 420s, SSA O’Day Sailers, Hobie Cats
  • Launch from multiple sites in Annapolis, including the Adaptive Boating Center, Annapolis Yacht Club, Annapolis Sailing School, and Severn Sailing Association
  • Also seeking: CRAB Volunteer Skipper & Crew with racing experience

CRAB Cup – Saturday, August 16

  • Open to all sailors to register and participate
  • CRAB Beneteau 22As reserved for disabled sailors
  • Launch from Adaptive Boating Center, Racing Course on Chesapeake Bay with 5 or 7 mile course
  • Also seeking: CRAB Volunteer Skipper & Crew with racing experience for CRAB boats

Fall Recovering Warrior Regatta – Saturday, September 19

  • Open to Guest Skippers who are recovering warriors or disabled veterans
  • Racing experience not required but helpful
  • Race against USNA Colgate’s
  • Also seeking: CRAB Volunteer Skipper & Crew with racing experience
