Group Sails

Community organizations that serve people with disabilities enjoy exclusive sailing outings during the sailing season. CRAB develops sailing experiences that align with the comfort level of its participants. As guests develop skills and gain confidence, so does the program rigor.

Regattas

Some of CRAB’s guests want to take sailing to a more competitive level by participating in regattas. CRAB offers four regattas in the Annapolis area: two for recovering warriors in Spring and Fall; the Don Backe Memorial CRAB Regatta for disabled sailors and hosted by the Annapolis Yacht Club in June; and The CRAB Cup, open to all sailors and hosted at the Eastport Yacht Club in August.

Clinics & Camps

CRAB offers two-day sailing clinics and kids sailing camps to organizations looking to provide youth from underserved communities, people with disabilities, or recovering warriors an opportunity to learn the basics of sailing and racing. The clinic or camp concludes with several races to test these new sailing skills. Classroom, textbook, and on-the-water instruction promote a comprehensive and diverse learning environment.
